Skyloop Travel Marketplace

Overview

Skyloop set out to do for boutique travel experiences what other marketplaces did for homestays — give small, independent operators a real storefront. We built the marketplace end to end: operator onboarding, search and discovery, secure payments, and post-booking messaging.

The challenge

Marketplace products live or die on trust and search relevance from day one — with no existing supply or demand to lean on, the platform had to feel populated and credible at launch, not like an empty shell. Payments also needed to support split payouts to operators across multiple countries and currencies.

Our approach

• Built a structured operator onboarding flow with verification steps that generate trust signals (response time, cancellation policy, verified badge) shown directly in search results.
• Implemented a relevance-ranked search and filtering system tuned for experience-based travel rather than generic keyword matching.
• Integrated Stripe Connect to handle multi-currency bookings with automated, compliant payouts to operators in different countries.
• Worked with Skyloop's team to seed and curate the first 200 listings before public launch, so day-one users saw a marketplace that already felt alive.
